Yesterday, we went to Collage Festival which participated a lot of American student group. This place was Red Sox’s stadium. For example, eating ice and shopping. Also they distributed postcards. We had a good time!
Today, six Showa students had an engagement activity with 16 American students studying at Thomas College.
After buying lunch, students divided into groups and spent some time in Quincy Market together.
The students from Thomas who attended said they learned a lot. Many of them are interested in keeping in touch with their new Showa friends.
Our O-bon event attracted more than 90 outside guests. Please see the pictures below of this fantastic events!
Last night we held a sushi-making language exchange with alumni of the Japan Exchange & Teaching Program (JET) and Showa Boston students. 6 JET participants and about 10 Showa students participated in the event.
Today, three of our students attended a talk by Ambassador Kennedy at Wellesley College. She spoke about the importance of study abroad for both Japanese and Americans, and participated on a panel with two Wellesley students who had just returned from abroad.
