University Farewell

It has been snowing for a week. It’s very cold outside.

Only 4 days left to go back to Japan. Everyone has started packing.

It has been about 5 months since we came to Boston. Time flies so quickly. We could meet many people and have valuable experiences. Showa gave us a lot of opportunities to learn American culture. They all made us grow up.

Thanksgiving day

Showa’s Christmas tree

Some students will stay in Boston and go to language school. Dormitory life will be over soon. We want to enjoy only several days until we go back to Japan.

Wing 2 Farewell

Weekly Update

Soran Bushi Practice with Mary

Date: Weekly

Over the past few years, our BLIP students have had the tradition of performing Soran Bushi at various locations in and around Boston. It’s a fantastic ice breaker for sparking conversations between our students and the audience. Americans are often fascinated by the blend of traditional and modern aspects that make up the dance, which in many ways embodies the spirit of Japanese culture as a whole.

Our RA Mary performed Soran Bushi for several years at Boston College and is currently teaching it to our BLIP 14s.
