Summer 2003
In August 2003, a Teacher's Institute will be held at Showa for Japanese Teachers of English. The two-week session will be taught jointly by faculty from Showa Boston and the School for International Training of Brattleboro, Vermont. Participants will receive intensive instruction in communicative methods of language teaching, with separate sessions devoted to the teaching of speaking and pronunciation, of listening, of reading, or writing, of culture, testing, and the use of drama and music. The program includes class observation, and field trips to historic sites in Boston and New York.
