Residential program for girls in grades 9, 10, and 11.
The Japan Discovery Program at Showa Boston is a unique intercultural exchange program for American and Japanese girls. For two weeks the Japanese and American girls in the program share information about their culture. It is a summer program where students learn through active participation in small groups, with plenty of individual attention. American girls can enhance their leadership skills by exploring Boston and the surrounding area on afternoon excursions.

Living and working together you can:
- Share and compare Japanese and American culture.
- Participate in a Japanese Tea Ceremony.
- Learn the Bon Dance.
- Learn origami.
- Participate in sports, games and outdoor adventures.
- Host a Japanese student.
