The Japan Discovery Program at Showa Boston is a unique intercultural exchange program for American and Japanese girls. For two weeks the girls in the program share information about their culture. It is a summer program where students learn through active participation in small groups, with plenty of individual attention. The girls can enhance their leadership skills by exploring Boston and the surrounding area on afternoon excursions.
Live in a dorm with a Japanese roommate and discover another culture as you work with instructors and counselors to learn about the customs and people of Japan.
Living and working together you can:
- Share and compare Japanese and American culture
- Study the Japanese language
- Learn Japanese dance
- Learn origami
- Participate in sports, games and outdoor adventures
- Host a Japanese student
