| Every month we offer exciting cultural events on campus. All friends, volunteers, and members of our community are invited to participate in our cultural events and demonstrations. Some events are specifically targeted for children while others are more geared to an adult audience. Showa students play a crucial role in instructing and assisting in these events. |
| Past events have included Taste of Japan, Sushi Making Workshop; A Fish Frenzy, swimming and origami fish making afternoon; Japanese 101, Introduction to Japanese Greetings and Cultural Etiquette, as well as our annual Cultural Festival. |
| Showa students also go out into the local community and teach about Japanese culture. Typical outreach events include origami and/or calligraphy demonstrations and/or traditional Bon dancing at local festivals, schools, and libraries. |
